Austin’s Auto Service proudly supports Northampton Community College and its mission to provide students of all backgrounds and interests with the opportunity to receive a quality education and training. Each year, more than 30,000 students are served by NCC through for-credit, community and professional education offerings. These opportunities provide students with the education and training they need to enter and advance in the workforce, earn their degree or to continue their studies at a four-year college or university.

We at Austin’s Auto Service, a minority-owned business/operator and the Tavarez-Colmenares Family believe it is important to reinvest in the communities we serve to ensure they remain strong and vital. As a family and a business, we feel strongly about giving back and have established two scholarships that students can apply for at NCC. The Austin’s Auto Annual Scholarship is available to students who are enrolled in the automotive technology program and The Tavarez-Colmenares Family Annual Scholarship was created to support students who identify as Hispanic and/or Latino.

Northampton Community College is the point of access for so many students. If it were not for NCC, higher education would not be an option for in our community. Even with one of the lowest tuitions in the state, many students struggle to attend. They balance families, work and school. However, the support these students receive from alumni, donors and friends of the college, make it possible for them to attend Northampton Community College and see their dreams become a reality. Since 2022 we at Austin’s Auto are proud that we have a partnership with the Brakes for Breast organization in support of breast cancer research. This is an important cause that is close to our hearts, and we are committed to doing our part to help find a cure for this devastating disease. Brakes for Breast is a nonprofit organization that raises funds to support breast cancer research. The organization was founded in 2011 by two Ohio-based auto repair shop owners, who decided to donate a portion of their brake service proceeds to the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Research Fund. Since then, the organization has grown to include hundreds of auto repair shops across the United States.

At Austin’s Auto we have joined the effort to support Brakes for Breast by donating a portion of our brake service proceeds to the organization. We are committed to making a positive impact on our community, and this partnership allows us to contribute to a cause that is important to us and our customers.

Breast cancer affects millions of women and their families each year, and finding a cure is crucial to ending this disease. By supporting Brakes for Breast, we are helping to fund vital research that can lead to new treatments and therapies for breast cancer patients. We believe that together, we can make a difference and bring us closer to finding a cure.
